This course will introduce the principles of green engineering and low-carbon sustainable development to overcome the environmental challenges facing humanity in the 21st century. The principles provide engineering solutions to improve, innovate, and invent technologies to achieve sustainability. In another part, the design concepts of low-carbon community will be introduced. Upon completion of this course, students will learn green materials, renewable energy, water resource, and environmental nanotechnology to minimize pollution, decrease impact on health and the environment, and reduce carbon footprint.
